A Strange Problem with Hibernation: Timer Resets After One Successful Scheduled Hibernation

Hello everyone

I have an unusual problem with hibernation of my PC that runs windows 7 (32 bit)

I've enabled hibernation in my windows, but every time I set a specific time in advanced setting in power option, it works just for once, I mean at the first time my PC goes to hibernation as I suppose (For example after 15 minutes), but when I turn on my PC again, the timer sets as “never” in power option and I have to re-specify that timer again, I don’t know why this happens every time! Any help?

Thanks in advance

Hi Mahmoud,

Please check if the sleep settings in BIOS are set correctly. You can contact the manufacturer directly to confirm the BIOS settings. If the issue persists, you can turn off Hybrid sleep in Power Options by the steps below:

1.         Go to Start, type power options in the Start Search box and then press ENTER.

2.         Click "Change plan settings".

3.         Click "Change advanced power settings".

4.         In the popup window, expand "Sleep".

5.         Change "Allow hybrid sleep" to "Off".

6.         Click OK.

What is the result? If the issue still exists,  you can try reinstalling the display card and its driver by the steps below to check the result.

1.         Click the Start Button, type Device Manager in the Search bar and press "Enter". Click Continue if necessary.

2.         Double click to expand the "Display adapters"

3.         Right click the display card and then click Uninstall.

4.         Restart the computer.

5.         Run Windows Update to download and install the driver.

Regards,

Linda
